Big Canoe has five beautiful lakes for water-based sports and fishing including Lake Petit, which at 111 acres in area and 98 feet in depth boasts a large dam and the Marina. Lake Sconti, which is a smaller lake behind the Clubhouse, Lake Disharoon, which is home to the Beach Club.

Blackwell Springs and Toad's Pond, which are two smaller bodies of water in the Waterford subdivision boasts two smaller

bodies of water close to the North Gate off of Wilderness Parkway. Blackwell Springs and Toad's Pond can be accessed with a Fishing permit as well. 

Fishing is permitted with a license purchased at the Marina Shack where you will also find a variety of fishing gear and bait. Property Owners and their guests, registered rental guests, marketing

guests and employees who have
obtained the proper user card are allowed to fish in Big Canoe. All must have the appropriate Big Canoe fishing permit with them while fishing. 

Daily and weekly fishing permits may be purchased at the Fitness Center and the Marina Shack. Annual and family permits may be purchased at the Fitness Center. Fines will be imposed for not complying.
